The holiday season is the best time to snuggle up and binge-watch movies, so for my last newsletter of 2023, I’m sharing a curated selection of my favourite films to watch during this time of year.

The Aviator
This biopic about Howard Hughes is something I think about often. I think Leonardo DiCaprio should’ve won an Oscar for this performance, but that’s just me. Watch the trailer here.

Little Women

Whiplash
Painful and frustrating in the best way. This film gets me so heated, and I will never not be terrified of J.K. Simmons after this. Watch the trailer here.
The Devil Wears Prada
Cozy up on the couch wearing your fanciest pyjamas, or play it in the background during your chic dinner party — you can’t go wrong. Watch the trailer here.
In Bruges
Funny and heart-warming. Colin Farrell is the original Irish daddy (sorry to Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott, and Cillian Murphy). Everyone says the trailer is awful, so you just have to watch it.
La La Land

Porco Rosso
“Forget it, I’m off to Milan.” An underrated Hayao Miyazaki film. Funny, memorable, and heart-warming. Watch the trailer here.
